Irvine Premier G95 Black Looking for Players

Coach Gordon Scott and the Girls G95 Black team are holding ongoing tryouts for 3 field positions and a starting keeper.

If you were born after 7/31/95 join us for our ongoing practice sessions on Monday and Wednesday night from 6:00-7:30 at Hick’s Canyon. Contact Coach Scott at 949-632-5649 or gordonwscott@cox.net for additional information or simply join us for a session.

The G95 Black team will be playing GU15 soccer this fall and will be competing in Spring League, the Toyota College Showcase and CSL State Cup in the weeks to come.

Irvine Premier G95 Blue Headed For Silver

The G95 Blue team finished up a very successful fall season going undefeated during their final 4 games to finish in 2nd place in the very competitive bronze south. The girl’s goal at the beginning of the season was to finish among the top two teams in their bracket to be eligible for promotion to silver, which they accomplished through determination and hard work ending up 1 point out of first place. The girl’s next goal is a championship run through State Cup and the CSL Spring League. We are currently looking to add several silver level players that share the same passion for soccer for the 2010/ 2011 season. The Irvine Premier ACADEMY is designed to offer ADVANCED TECHNICAL TRAINING and competition for boys and girls in the U7 and U8 age groups who excel at the recreational level. Participation is on an invitation only basis. Players can only be recommended by Irvine Premier coaches, Recreational League coaches and the parents of players already participating in the ACADEMY.

Due to popular demand IPSC will be continuing to offer our fun and exciting SOCCER SKILLS training programs through the WINTER and into the SPRING of 2010.

FRIDAY NIGHT FUTBOL requires NO WEEKEND COMMITMENTS and with one session per week it has allowed talented athletes to continue their love of other sports they might be passionate about.

FRIDAY NIGHT FUTBOL is also incredibly AFFORDABLE. Our next 8 week session begins on March 12th and the fee is just $49.00 per player. You can attend all or any of these eight sessions giving you control of your level of commitment.

Our FRIDAY NIGHT FUTBOL sessions have provided valuable training to players of all abilities and experience in a FUN environment under the direction of PROFESSIONAL COACHES.

FRIDAY NIGHT FUTBOL is open to all U4, U5, U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, and U12 age groups.

Each session focuses on developing the FUNDAMENTAL TECHNIQUES required to be competitive at any level.

Our sessions then allow the players to PLAY in small-sided scrimmages MAXIMIZING PARTICIPATION under the supervision of our PROFESSIONAL COACHES.

During these games our coaches provide subtle direction, encouraging each player to EXPRESS THEIR NEW SKILLS, be creative and imaginative with the ball and ultimately learning the beautiful game of soccer as it was intended – THROUGH PLAY!

All of our sessions are at HICKS CANYON COMMUNITY PARK and are directed by IPSC Technical Director – SCOTT JUNIPER – UC Irvine Women’s Soccer Head Coach.

GU 14, Bronze Omega Champs

Martin’s GU-14s Win Bronze Omega

Russ Martin's Under 14 un-beaten G95 White.

The Irvine Premier SC GU-14 White team claimed the Bronze Omega championship Sunday with two games left to be played this season.

This well matched team of girls went into the season confident and determined to do well. Twelve games into the season they claimed the title having won 10 games and tied only 2 games (Goals 40 for: 6 against), but they are not done yet. The team wants to finish the season undefeated and keep their Coach, Russell Martin, in the unbeaten coach’s rankings.

They opened some eyes and made believers out of two good teams on Saturday. During the second round of league cup play, they defeated a Silver level team from Yucaipa and went toe to toe with a Silver Elite team and just got edged out 1-nil.

On Sunday, the North Irvine GU-14 White tied with Mission Viejo SC even though the side was missing two influential players through injury from League Cup games and one through sickness. This was enough to guarantee them the championship.

Best Moment in Soccer: It was the last three seconds of a game against a silver team. We were down one to zero. Our sweeper comes up from midfield and scores a wondergoal over the opposing keepers head, tying and ending the game one to one. The best part was that the keeper fell down as he was backing up and hit his head n the goal.
Favorite Soccer Move: The Stepover, easy and effective.
Hobbies: Going to the beach, skateboarding, and hanging out with friends, biking, and tackle football.
A Brief Summary About Themselves: I am 13 years old and have two brothers, Connor, 11, and Grant, 7. My dad’s name is Andy Sloane and my mom’s name is Kristen Edwards. We have a dog named Tango. I am pretty laid-back and do well in school. My favorite subject is Science. I have played other sports, including baseball and basketball, and lacrosse. I was the best at lacrosse and my team recently won the division championship. This is pretty much my main aspects.
